ENVET staff: call / text conversation guide

Use these prompts before a guest form exists. This page does not save a call record. Once a guest record is available, authorized staff can save the checklist in Forms review.

  1. Start with a conversation

Ask: Are you a Veteran, Active Duty service member, or a family member from the United States or a partner nation? What service or family connection should ENVET confirm?

  2. Find the right opportunity

Ask: What are you hoping to work on? Explain supported activities, family participation and access needs. This is not horse rental.

  3. Dress for safe movement

Explain every clothing restriction. Ask the caller to check that they can stretch and squat in their chosen pants.

  4. Check the weather at the farm

Check Lovettsville conditions and the forecast with the caller. Confirm arrangements with ENVET; weather elsewhere may be different.

  5. Plan your protective equipment

Explain mounted and under-10 helmet rules, available equipment and any individual fit needs. Confirm helmet type with ENVET before the visit.

When ENVET asks you to complete a release, review the guest form. This checklist does not replace it.
